RF1000 E3D Hotend

Hi, sorry if this is off topic but i have also modded mine RF1000 to use an e3d V6 hotend but i keep getting the issue of the hotend never quite reaching the target temperature by about 2 degrees every time and the default gcode wont start the print until it is closer. I have gone through and done the adjustments to the thermistor table and run the auto PID tuning several times but no luck. Ive also tried to manually increase the I value as that seems to be what people recommend but when i send PID values manually with M204 it never seems to change these values.
